The Pakistan Sunday School Mission began in 2005 out of a simple but powerful desire: to give children and young people a safe place to learn, grow, and discover good values. Under the care of One Vision Society and the leadership of Pastor Shakeel Din, this ministry focuses on teaching Bible truth, building character, and helping the next generation become confident, caring members of their communities.
Children are the future of any nation. In many places across Pakistan, children have few chances to join positive programs. The Sunday School Mission brings dependable, loving programs to schools, churches, community centers, and village homes so that young hearts can be formed with care and wisdom.
The Pakistan Sunday School Mission offers a variety of activities for children and youth:
Sunday Schools — age-appropriate Bible teaching, stories, memory verses, songs, and simple crafts that help children learn spiritual and moral lessons in a joyful way.
Youth Fellowships — safe meeting times for teenagers to discuss life, faith, and practical choices with trained youth leaders and mentors.
Bible Teaching Sessions — clear, easy-to-understand lessons that help children and youth learn God’s word and apply it to daily life.
Leadership Camps — short camps and workshops that train older youth in leadership, teamwork, public speaking, and basic community service skills.
Worship Gatherings — music and praise times created so young people can express gratitude, build confidence, and enjoy healthy fellowship.
After-school Support — homework help, reading practice, and basic tutoring for children who need academic support.
All activities are planned to be fun, practical, and safe. Volunteers and teachers are trained to care for children’s spiritual and emotional needs as well as their physical well-being.
Young people face many challenges — poverty, lack of safe spaces, limited schooling, and poor role models. Without positive support, they can lose direction. The Sunday School Mission brings a steady, encouraging presence into the lives of children and youth so they can grow secure in character and skills.
Our programs aim to:
Give children a clear understanding of values such as honesty, respect, kindness, and responsibility.
Help youth make wise choices in school, work, and community life.
Encourage social skills through group activities, team games, and public speaking.
Build hope and confidence so young people can dream of a better future.
Since 2005, the Pakistan Sunday School Mission has reached communities in towns, villages, and urban neighborhoods. We work where need is greatest — in areas with poor schools, brick kiln communities, and remote villages where children lack positive outlets.
Program teams set up weekly Sunday schools, run short-term camps during school holidays, and visit homes to invite families to join. A flexible approach helps us bring the program to children who cannot travel far or who work part-time to support their families.
Good teaching needs good teachers. That is why the mission places strong emphasis on training. Volunteers, local church workers, and youth leaders receive practical training in:
Child-friendly teaching methods
Safety and child protection basics
Simple lesson planning and Bible storytelling
Counseling basics and how to listen well to children
Leading group games, worship, and small group discussions
These training sessions ensure that every leader is equipped, careful, and loving. We want children to meet consistent, trustworthy adults who help them grow.
Our leadership camps bring older teens together for focused training. During these short camps, youth are taught:
Communication and team leadership
Event planning and serving others
Basic first aid and community help skills
How to lead a small group or Sunday school class
Many young leaders who trained at these camps have gone on to lead local youth groups, help run Sunday schools, or start community service projects. Investment in leadership creates a growing network of young people who can serve and support others.
The Sunday School Mission provides a safe place where children can tell their stories and feel heard. Our volunteers are trained to notice signs of distress and provide emotional support or refer families to local help when needed. This caring approach helps children overcome fear, anxiety, or grief and learn resilience.
When children and youth are supported, the whole family benefits. Educated and confident young people often finish more school, find better work, and help their families break cycles of poverty. The mission’s long-term goal is to see communities strengthened by healthy children who grow into responsible adults.
Many parents report positive changes: children behaving better at home, improved school performance, and young people taking part in community clean-ups or helping younger children with reading. These small changes multiply into stronger neighborhoods.
The Pakistan Sunday School Mission works with local churches, schools, and community leaders. Partnerships help us:
Share resources and learning materials
Invite more volunteers and trained teachers
Use community spaces for weekly programs and camps
Reach children in remote areas through joint visits and local networks
Donors and partners help provide Bibles for children, lesson materials, art supplies, snacks during programs, and transportation support for children who need it.
A classroom that once had only a few students can grow into a lively Sunday school where children perform songs and help younger friends learn to read. A shy teenager who joined a leadership camp later started leading the worship team and now helps younger youth build confidence. These stories are common — proof that steady care brings lasting change.
You can support the Pakistan Sunday School Mission in several ways:
Pray for the children, volunteers, and leaders.
Volunteer your time as a teacher, mentor, or camp helper.
Donate toward lesson materials, children’s books, snacks, and transport.
Sponsor a child’s attendance at a leadership camp or training workshop.
Partner by offering a safe space for classes in your community.
Every small gift helps a child learn, laugh, and grow.
Our vision for the future is to expand the Sunday School Mission to more villages and towns, increase leadership training, and provide regular support to teachers. We want to see more children finish school, more youth discover practical skills, and more communities strengthened by the next generation.
Since 2005, the Pakistan Sunday School Mission has been a steady neighbor to children in need. With continued support, we will reach more young lives, helping them become healthy, hopeful adults ready to serve their families and communities.
