Pakistan Living Water Project

In many rural areas of Pakistan, clean drinking water is a daily struggle. Families walk long distances to collect water from ponds, canals, or open wells that are often unsafe. Many children and adults fall sick because the water is contaminated.

To respond to this urgent need, One Vision Society, under the leadership of Pastor Shakeel Din, launched the Pakistan Living Water Project in 2021.
The goal is simple — to bring clean, safe drinking water and improve health and hygiene for poor and remote communities across Pakistan.

The Heart of the Mission

During his visits to villages and small towns, Pastor Shakeel saw families suffering from waterborne diseases. Many could not afford medical treatment, and their children often missed school due to illness.

Out of this deep concern, the Pakistan Living Water Project was born — a project built on love, care, and the desire to make a lasting difference.
It’s not just about water; it’s about giving people a healthier and more hopeful future.

Why Clean Water Matters

Clean water is essential for life, health, and dignity.
Without it, families face constant sickness from diseases like diarrhea, typhoid, and cholera. Children are the most affected, and many families spend what little money they have on medical bills.

Having access to safe drinking water means fewer illnesses, better hygiene, and more time for work, education, and family life.
When a community receives clean water, everything begins to change — homes become healthier, children grow stronger, and hope begins to rise.

Our Mission and Goals

The Pakistan Living Water Project focuses on meeting basic human needs and building healthier communities.

Our goals include:

  • Providing safe and sustainable water sources such as hand pumps and wells.

  • Reaching rural and underdeveloped areas where people lack access to clean water.

  • Teaching families about health and hygiene through awareness sessions.

  • Reducing the spread of waterborne diseases through education and prevention.

Each new water source is a sign of progress and compassion for families who have waited for years for safe water.

How the Project Works

Our dedicated teams travel to rural villages and communities in Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan.
After identifying the most in-need areas, they install hand pumps or community wells that provide clean water for daily use.

Each installation serves dozens of families, giving them easier access to safe water for drinking, cooking, and cleaning.
Along with the water supply, the project team conducts hygiene awareness programs, teaching families simple steps to stay healthy and prevent disease.

Health and Hygiene Awareness

One of the most important parts of the Pakistan Living Water Project is health education.
Many people in rural areas are not aware of how diseases spread through dirty water or poor hygiene.

To change this, our team organizes Health and Hygiene Workshops that focus on:

  • The importance of washing hands with soap.

  • Storing drinking water safely.

  • Keeping the surroundings clean.

  • Personal hygiene habits that protect families from sickness.

Through these sessions, families learn that small habits can lead to big improvements in their overall health and well-being.

Impact Across Pakistan

Since 2021, the Pakistan Living Water Project has made a positive difference in many communities.
With the support of One Vision Society, local partners, and donors, we have:

  • Installed numerous hand pumps and community wells in rural villages.

  • Improved access to safe and clean drinking water for thousands of families.

  • Reached over 130 cities and towns with water and hygiene programs.

  • Helped schools, orphanages, and brick kiln communities maintain better hygiene and health.

Every new hand pump or well represents a step toward a healthier Pakistan — one where families can live with dignity and peace.

Stories of Change

In a small village near Mithi, a woman named Ayesha shared how her children often fell sick because of dirty water. Every week, she had to walk several miles to find cleaner water, but it was never enough.

When One Vision Society installed a hand pump in her area, everything changed. Her children are now healthy, and she no longer spends hours walking for water. She says, “This project has given us life and hope. We thank God for the people who made this possible.”

Stories like Ayesha’s show the real impact of this project — bringing health, time, and relief to those who need it most.

Partnership and Support

The Pakistan Living Water Project is powered by the love and generosity of supporters around the world.
Local communities, churches, and individuals have joined hands to make clean water available for families who once had none.

Each contribution helps install more hand pumps, conduct more awareness sessions, and reach more people in need.
Together, we are making a long-term difference in health and hygiene across Pakistan.

How You Can Help

You can be a part of this mission of compassion:

  • Pray for the communities still struggling without clean water.

  • Support the project financially or by spreading awareness.

  • Sponsor a hand pump to serve an entire village.

  • Encourage others to join hands for this life-changing cause.

When you help a family gain access to clean water, you are giving them more than water — you are giving them hope, health, and a better tomorrow.

Future Plans

One Vision Society aims to expand the Pakistan Living Water Project to reach even more rural areas and improve long-term sustainability.
Future goals include:

  • Introducing solar-powered water systems for remote areas.

  • Conducting more health and hygiene programs in schools.

  • Partnering with local authorities to ensure continuous access to safe water.

With every new milestone, we move closer to a Pakistan where every person has access to clean, safe, and reliable water.
