Bricklink Community Development

Pakistan Brick Kiln Mission

The Pakistan Brick Kiln Mission is one of the oldest and most touching outreach projects of One Vision Society, founded and led by Pastor Shakeel Din.
Since 2001, this mission has been serving the brick kiln families — some of the most forgotten, poorest, and most vulnerable people in Pakistan.

Every year, thousands of Christian families live and work in brick kiln areas under harsh conditions. Many are trapped in a cycle of debt and labor, struggling to survive. Through this mission, One Vision Society brings them hope, faith, education, and freedom through the love of Jesus Christ.

Who Are the Brick Kiln People?

Across Pakistan, there are thousands of brick kilns — places where bricks are made by hand for construction. The workers, often whole families, spend long hours molding clay under the burning sun.
They are paid very little and often forced to live in small huts near the kilns. Most families are indebted to their employers, meaning they cannot leave until their loan is paid — a debt that sometimes lasts for generations.

Among these laborers are many Christian families who have limited access to schools, healthcare, or churches.
They face discrimination, hardship, and hopelessness. Yet, in these places of suffering, the light of Christ is shining through the Pakistan Brick Kiln Mission.

How the Mission Began

The mission began more than two decades ago when Pastor Shakeel Din, moved by compassion, visited a brick kiln village near Lahore.
He saw children playing in mud instead of classrooms and parents working from dawn till dusk with tired eyes but hopeful hearts.

He felt a strong calling from God to help these people — not only by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but also by meeting their basic human needs.
That moment marked the beginning of what is now known as the Pakistan Brick Kiln Mission.

Our Vision and Purpose

The main vision of this mission is to reach, rescue, and restore brick kiln families through the message of the Gospel and the power of compassion.

We aim to:

  • Preach the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ.

  • Provide free education for children who have never been to school.

  • Offer medical camps and clean water to improve health.

  • Distribute free Bibles, food, and clothing to families in need.

  • Help families break free from bonded labor through awareness and support programs.

Every action, every prayer, and every visit is focused on one goal — to bring dignity, hope, and faith to those who feel forgotten by the world.

Sharing the Gospel and Building Faith

In every brick kiln community, we begin with prayer and worship.
Our teams visit homes, talk with families, and share the message that Jesus loves them — that their lives matter and that they are not alone.

We distribute Urdu Bibles, audio Bibles, and Bible storybooks for children, helping them grow in faith.
Weekly house fellowships and Sunday schools are organized, creating small but strong Christian communities in the middle of hardship.

Many people who once lived in fear now find peace through the Word of God.
They sing hymns while they work, and they thank God even in their struggles — because they have found hope in Jesus Christ.

Education for Brick Kiln Children

Education is one of the most powerful tools to break the cycle of poverty and labor.
Through this mission, One Vision Society has started free learning centers in several brick kiln villages.

Children who once carried clay are now carrying books. They learn to read, write, and dream of a better future.
Our volunteer teachers, supported by donations and sponsors, give their time and love to help these children grow in knowledge and faith.

Each classroom is not just a school — it is a beacon of light in a place of darkness.

Health, Food, and Clean Water

Along with spiritual care, we also provide medical camps, food packages, and clean water filters to improve daily life.
Many families live without access to safe water or healthcare. Through partnerships and support from kind donors, we bring doctors, nurses, and clean water systems directly to their communities.

These simple acts of love make a huge difference — a healthy body helps a person better receive and live out God’s Word.

Empowerment and Freedom

One of the biggest challenges is bonded labor.
Families trapped in debt cannot leave the kiln because they owe money to the owner. Even if they work for years, the debt often increases due to unfair deductions.

Through the Pakistan Brick Kiln Mission, we are raising awareness about this injustice and helping families find legal and financial help when possible.
We also teach them new skills — such as sewing, small business training, and literacy — to give them a chance to build an independent future.

Our goal is not only to give them a Bible but also to help them live with freedom, dignity, and faith.

Stories of Transformation

One family in Sheikhupura shared their testimony:
They were living in debt for over 10 years. After receiving a Bible and joining the local fellowship, their faith in God grew. Slowly, they saved money, left the kiln, and started a small shop. Today, they are free and helping others learn about Jesus.

Every story like this is a reminder that God’s love can set people free — spiritually, emotionally, and even physically.

Partnerships and Support

This mission is supported by faithful partners, churches, and individuals who share our vision.
Every prayer, donation, and visit helps us reach more families with the message of hope.

We invite believers around the world to join hands with Pastor Shakeel Din and One Vision Society in this powerful mission.
Together, we can bring light where there has been darkness for too long.

How You Can Help

Scripture Foundation

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.” — Luke 4:18

This verse reflects the heart of the Pakistan Brick Kiln Mission — to bring good news, freedom, and hope to the oppressed.
